possibly an early war Militia Unit. He served in the military on 13 May 1861
in New York, New York, USA. Enlisted in Company D, 36th New York Volunteers,
also known as the 'Britsh Battalion'. He was aged 37 years and was discharged
with disability at Point Lookout, Maryland on 1st Nov. 1862.
He was married to MARGARET about 1844 in Scotland. Proclomation of Banns and
