We have just started to trace our family history and were wondering if you might be able to help. Could you point in the right direction to research my father William Arnott Whiteford born Lanarkshire 1920. His parents were William and Mary. Thet left Scotland in he 1920s and moved to england. I am looking into my family history and do not have much information, I tried to do the guest book, but my message would not go through. My grandmother was Carolyn Whiteford, all were from Harford Co., she married a Camp and had 2 daughters - Elizabeth V., and Mae C., who married a Hartman and Moore. I am the daughter of Elizabeth, married name Grubb. I really don't have a lot of information and I not sure if you are the correct Whiteford connection. In my husband's family, a great aunt of his m. Edward Whiteford in 1914 in Spittal Berwick. His father was John. Do you know anything of this line? It is certainly possible that they had Scottish ancestors. I have only just started on this line,having been busy with more direct lines.

My father, Kenneth, was born in Larkhall, Lanarkshire in
1922. His father was a miner who moved to Coventry to work in the coalfields here. Unfortunately he died before my birth in 1954. I believe his name was William.
