She had two(?) children with her husband Warren -- my second cousin, Tommy Thompson, and his sister. I recall going to the Thompson home out in Sayville, Long Island, NY. It was a renovated stable and I found it to be charming and artistic. At some time in the late 1960's or 1970's (after the death of Grace and John (Jack) Bruce, the Thompson family moved to North Carolina. I have lost touch with them."

John BRUCE died in 1965 in Merrick, NY. He was born in New York. "Uncle Jack was a warm, loving and fun person. He was my grandfather-figure. He was a chemist with a degree from Columbia University. He served in World War I and lost several fingers. He was a chemist for Squibb, and helped my dad, Robert, to get a job after his graduation from CCNY. I recall that my Dad and Mom both respected and loved Uncle Jack. He died not long after his wife, Grace, and that was a tremendous loss for our family."
